Dr. Myra Mathis-Uwanogho

MYRA L. MATHIS-UWANOGHO, MD, is a faculty member and board-certified General Adult and Addiction Psychiatrist at the University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Mathis-Uwanogho is the Clinical Chief for the Division of Addiction Psychiatry, overseeing Strong Recovery and the Westfall Practice, UR Medicine’s outpatient addiction psychiatry services. These clinics include an Opioid Treatment Program; Adolescent and Young Adult services; and comprehensive outpatient programming to meet to bio-psycho-social-spiritual needs patients and their families. She is also the program director for UR Medicine’s Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Dr. Mathis-Uwanogho prioritizes access to evidence-based treatment for all patients with substance use and mental health disorders, particularly for those from marginalized communities. When she’s not in the office or classroom, you can find Myra at home with her husband and son or at her place of worship offering encouragement through song or spoken word.

CHRIS THOMPSON is an activist, writer, capoeirista, humorist, and engineer. He uses the former 4 to expose the public to the history of struggle and adversity in a palatable way, and he aspires to give people hope that they can triumph over their obstacles. He uses engineering to keep the public rail transit safe, also pay the bills and foster his Lego addiction.

CHRISTOPHER GOODKNEWS CARDWELL is a graduate of Hampton University with a BA in psychology, 2007. His career as a professional photographer began in 2009. Since then GoodKnews has built a team like no other. With an impressive portfolio that includes shots of recording artists such as Trey Songz, Jadakiss, Lloyd, and Fabolous, the Hampton graduate is also the exclusive photographer for the Rochester, NY Police Locus Club, Hip Hop Weekly, Hips On Deck magazine, Breakthru magazine, Dynasty series and SubCulture magazine. GoodKnews is continuing to build his brand and elevating his career as a staple within the photography industry. Within the next couple of years he has hopes of possibly capturing fashion editorials for magazine giants Elle or Vogue, but in the meantime, GoodKnews is staying busy offering professional photography for weddings, senior pictures, modeling portfolios, landscapes, product shots, etc.
